40G QSFP+ 3:2 (MPO) Transition Assembly.

40G QSFP+ 3:2 (MPO) Transition Assembly allows to utilize legacy installed Polarity A/ B or C MPO trunks cabling to be re-used for connection of 40G QSFP+ parallel optics transceivers.

40G parallel optics protocol transmission is performed by sending 4 x separate 10G channels in parallel. For 4 x DX channels, 8 x fibers out of 12 fibers in the QSFP+ MPO interface are used. 3:2 Transition assembly allows to interconnect 3 x QSFP+ transceivers pairs utilizing legacy installed backbone MPO cabling. Transition assemblies allows for fibers in installed trunks being fully utilized for 40G parallel optics transmission (3 x QSFP+ 40G pairs can be connected utilizing 24xFibers MPO Trunks).

Transition assemblies are offered in pre-set configurations allowing legacy Polarity A, B or C Backbone MPO Trunks being used in 40G networks making polarity management easily manageable.
