IP rated external termination box.

The termination box is designed for use on the external wall of residential or small business premises. The unit houses a single splice tray and allows fibers from externally fed cables (Blown Fiber or conventional), to be spliced to pigtails for connection to the optical network unit. Pigtail fibers or patch cords are routed through the external wall fabric via a rear entry/exit position and are protected by 25mm diameter conduit. The unit can also be used as a transition point between internal and external cable.

The high density design can scale from 2 up to 144 fibers and can feature both 900 µm and ruggedised 2 mm tail leads. Assemblies can comprise of both multifiber MPO and discrete connectors, making the cable a flexible hybrid solution for diverse applications.

The compact termination box is designed for use in residential and business applications for the termination of up to four fibers. The wall box enables the installation of either a single Blown Tube cable using up to a 4 fiber blown unit or two 2 fiber ruggedised cables to be spliced to four SC pigtails (PC or APC), which connect to adapters at the base of the unit. The unit can be quickly installed within an office, house or communication room environment.
